We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sandfield master to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the onshore management and operational efficiency of barges used in sandfield projects, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of barges involved in sandfield activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate barge crew and onshore teams to optimize performance.
- Monitor and control dredging, sand transportation, and discharge processes.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety drills, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Maintain accurate records, operational logs, and reports in compliance with regulations.
- Liaise with port authorities, dredging contractors, and shore-based management.
Requirements:
- Valid medical certificate (ENG1 or equivalent).
- Experience as a Barge Master, particularly in sandfield operations.
- Strong knowledge of barge stability, dredging operations, and material discharge techniques.
- Familiarity with maritime and onshore safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
