We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Barge Master to join our team. You will be responsible for the overall command, safe operation, and efficient performance of the barge while ensuring full compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the safe operation and navigation of the barge.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
- Supervise and manage the barge crew, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Oversee cargo operations, stability management, and deck procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety drills, and emergency preparedness activities.
Requirements:
- Valid medical certificate (ENG1 or equivalent).
- Experience as a Barge Master or similar role.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
