We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backhoe Dredger Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the backhoe dredger efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the backhoe dredger to carry out dredging operations safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and control excavation and dredging processes to achieve optimal results.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on dredging equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records and operational logs.
- Collaborate with vessel crew and shore-based management to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Valid medical certificate (ENG1 or equivalent)
- Experience operating a backhoe dredger.
- Strong knowledge of dredging techniques, sediment removal, and excavation.
- Familiarity with maritime safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
