About the position
For one of our clients in the dredging industry, we are looking for an experienced Pipe Operator to join a hopper dredger operating on international projects.
As Pipe Operator, you are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the dredging installation, with a focus on pipelines, valves and dredging systems. You work closely with the dredge master and deck crew to ensure optimal dredging performance and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring dredging pipelines, valves and related equipment
- Assisting in loading, unloading and dredging operations
- Monitoring pressures, flow rates and wear of pipes and fittings
- Identifying technical issues and reporting abnormalities
- Supporting maintenance and repair of dredging equipment
- Ensuring all operations are carried out according to safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as Pipe Operator or in a similar dredging-related role
- Experience on hopper dredgers is a strong advantage
- Good understanding of dredging systems and pipe installations
- Basic technical and mechanical skills
- Ability to work safely under pressure and in a team
- Good command of the English language
- Willingness to work on international rotations
